Shirley gave career advice to UWS BA Commercial Music and
MA Music, Innovation and Entrepreneurship students.
The secret of success, Manson revealed, was for artists to talk through their disagreements – and share the proceeds.
“When you get into a band, whether you are – the main writer or whatever – split the money equal ways. Then you will have a happy band. They are doing the same work as you.”
